What Is In Between A Racing Mind And Dying of Boredom? Mindfulness, Sleep!

Slowing down is a practice!

The practice of slowing down has to be experienced.

No one can “tell” you what you experience when you sit silently.

When a person has a moment to in silence, a lot of times their mind goes to “thinking, worrying.”

In fact, lots of people give up, disengage, and delve into “thinking, worrying.”

This may involve a racing mind, an attempt to problem solve, or a rehashing of a to-do list.

Lots of people struggle to sleep at night because their mind race as soon as quiet descends.

This practice takes repetition and willingness.

Can you just notice the pace, rhythm, and quality of your breath- for three minutes?

Can you just notice the topics of your mind- and where it insists on taking you- for three minutes?

Can you just notice the physical sensations of your body responding to “thinking” -for three minutes?

Or not?
