Overview & Basics Online Class
Basic DBT skills are hard to find in a the nutshell version! In a new class coming this fall you will have the opportunity to get a basic overview of all skills. It includes basic content, strategies, and skills for managing moods, interacting effectively, and surviving emotional pain.
This 8 week class covers four skills modules; two classes are devoted to each module:
Emotion Regulation
(clarifying feelings, tolerating feelings, reducing emotional suffering, decreasing vulnerability to lasting negative emotions)
Interpersonal Effectiveness
(difficult conversations, being effective with self respect/ relationships/ assertiveness, the practice of asking)
Distress Tolerance
(suffering and mindfulness, surviving painful life situations)
Mindfulness
(staying centered, staying focused, and staying present)

Structure
Classes are structured around a syllabus and will include teaching and lecture points, small group discussion, experiential exercises, writing exercises and prompts, and in some cases things for you to explore/ write down/ think about and bring back between classes.

Classes are $400 for the entire series which is $50 per class.
